Ex-NBA Star Jordan Sues Lisa A. Miceli

MEADVILLE -- Former basketball great Michael Jordan has filed a civil suit against a Meadville woman who claims Jordan fathered her young son.

Lawyers representing Jordan have asked a Crawford County judge to order Lisa A. Miceli to stop contacting Jordan, his family members, his representatives and their family members.

Lawyers claim in the suit, which was filed Wednesday afternoon, that Miceli has sent Jordan and others close to him hundreds of threatening e-mails and voice mails that have "become increasingly violent" over time.

The communications started on Aug. 26, 2005, after DNA testing that Jordan consented to showed he was not the father of Miceli's 3-year-old son, according to the suit.

Crawford County President Judge Gordon Miller has scheduled a hearing for Feb. 6.
